Retro LeMans I, II und IIIAt a certain point of time we asked ourselves ha a temporary Guzzi would look like if the company was to take care of their own heritage. How would for example an actual LeMans look like - a bike that used to rank high among the sport motorcycles back in its time.
That moment was the kick-off to our RetroLeMans series, that has reached stage three by now. Main goal at all three stages: Performance. A bike with punch and agility!
The Retro LeMans is a sporty motorcycle from bottom to top: modern upside down fork, mono shock absorber with Radical Guzzi stabilizer in the rear, Öhlins suspension, Keihin racing carburetor, Radical Guzzi rear fork eliminating the up-and-down-move of the shaft drive, radial Brembo brakes - all of this adds up to a bike that proves modern day road quality in a very sporty manner.
As usual with custom bikes every customer brings in his personal ideas that contribute to the build of a bike. Consequently every Retro LeMans has its own character, even though each one is definitely sporty.
The LeMans stage I features the classic Guzzi engine with two valves, which ist tuned and optimized to deliver around about 95 hp at the rear wheel. For the Stage II we use the 1200 8V engine with 115 hp, in the Stage III this engine is bored to 1450 ccm and receives some fine tuning that brings it up to 135 hp and 144 nm torque.
